Good day dear colleagues and friends, today we will be discussing the natural, comforting, yet invisible effect that some pets can have over humans to heal us.
Some studies have noted that dogs can have a humans stress
lowered, therefore the immune system can strength out, and health begins to
improve big time!
But how does that work?
By easing anxiety and elevating mood, offering company and comfort,
therefore pets can decrease feelings of isolation or loneliness. Pets can
provide a distraction from pain, stress or boredom.
Cats can relax a person by the sound frequencies of their purr,
releasing the endorphins hormone in the humans brain which have a calming
effect on them.
Even if it may sound cheesy, pets can motivate a person by
increasing socialization and encouraging communication.
Some other studies from the State University of New York at
Buffalo suggest that when a person is near by a pet, the blood pressure lowers
and the muscles relax. And this is because a bond with pets can make a person
feel more comfortable in the way that the brain decreases the amount of
cortisol, which is a hormone that causes stress and can damage the body.
Also the feeling of comfort and wellness that a pet can bring to
the person can also raise the levels of dopamine (the hormone of happiness).
Therefore the person will start feeling better emotionally, limbic system will
start improving the heart beating, and the blood pressure will also improve to
a natural more relaxed levels, immune system will start get stronger.
Some people who own pets experience an uptick in immunoglobulin A
(antibody that
bolsters the immune system).
bolsters the immune system).
Researches from the Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases show
that people who interact with animals experience a boost in levels of oxytocin
(a hormone that promotes love and trust and is also related to reduced blood
pressure and heart rate.
Regularly paying with your pet helps too!
There have been also other studies that suggest that people with
social support from pets or humans are more likely to survive heart diseases.
So, even by logic and wellbeing of one's sake, get a pet! Even if
it's a fish, I assure you, it will boost your life!
We hope you've enjoyed this little segment and take our advice,
and if you already on a pet, thank your pet, cherish it and take it to your
most trusty vet regularly so it can bring you happiness for many years to come!
